Overview
Astra Tech, LLC (“Astra,” “we,” “us”) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. This notice applies to the Astra Labs website, private areas of the site, and secure video presentations.
We use only the technology needed to operate and secure the site unless you choose to allow analytics. Optional analytics is disabled by default and Google Analytics is not loaded until you consent.
Information we use
Information you provide
If you contact us or request access, we may receive your name, company, email address, message, and any other information you choose to provide.
Site and device information
Our hosting and security providers necessarily process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, and requested pages to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.
Optional analytics
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may process a random Astra viewer identifier, page paths, interaction events, approximate location, referrer information, and browser or device details. For secure presentations, analytics may include opens, playback starts, progress milestones, completion, fullscreen use, and session-end events.
We configure analytics without advertising signals or ad personalization. Page locations sent by Astra omit query strings so a private share key is not included in analytics.
Private video sharing
Private presentations use essential security records even when analytics is rejected. When an invited recipient successfully unlocks a presentation, we create a time-limited secure session and an access record so we can deliver the presentation, confirm intended use, investigate abuse, and protect confidential material.
The access record can include the presentation identifier, opening time, an anonymous session or viewer identifier, coarse country/region/city and timezone supplied by our hosting platform, referring hostname, and browser user-agent. The access key itself is not written to the analytics event stream or the access record.
These records are stored with Firebase and are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for client service, security, audit, and legal purposes.
Your choices
You can accept, reject, or customize optional analytics from the privacy banner. Rejecting analytics does not prevent access to the public site or an authorized private presentation.
You can change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics events and removes Astra’s analytics identifier and accessible Google Analytics cookies from your browser. It does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Purposes and legal bases
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent for optional analytics. We rely on our legitimate interests, performance of a contract or pre-contract steps, and compliance with legal obligations as appropriate to operate and secure the site, respond to requests, manage client relationships, and keep necessary private-access records.
We balance those interests against your rights and limit the information used. You can withdraw analytics consent without affecting essential site operation.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to use of your personal information; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; or complain to your local data-protection authority. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
To make a request, email us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
